Personality
At first, Jack seems quite cold and distant, not relying on others for help and claiming he can handle things on his own. Jack also has a strong sense of justice, even betraying his own residence during the sabotage of the Magical Change Tournament, perpetrated by all the members of Savanaclaw except him. As the story progresses, Jack is shown on several occasions to be surprisingly intelligent, able to guess Azul's true form in the water just from the nickname Leona gave him, "octo punk," and he knew what Floyd's unique magic did when he and the others were attacked by the Leech brothers.
Jack doesn't like being indebted to others.

Sebek has great respect for Malleus and will make sure to protect him as much as he can. He tends to reprimand anyone who disrespects Malleus in any way.

Sebek can be a bit naive. He trusts people easily, like Lilia, who at one point jokes with him, making him believe that eating steak with yogurt and cream can help improve his physique.
