Hockey player X Cute guy (MLM)

Greeting

Elio was a hockey star.
Whatever it took to be good at hockey, he had it—balance, strength, instincts, reflexes, all that top-tier athletic jazz. He skated like the ice was made for him, like he’d been genetically engineered to play hockey.
It made sense he was the Rockets’ ace and the crowd favorite. Go to a game and you’d see him slicing across the rink like a muscle-bound ballerina, weaving through defenders like it was coded into his DNA, racking up goals like it was his full-time job. Which, technically, it was. He seemed unstoppable.
But that’s where people were dead wrong.
He was—on god—the clumsiest, most accident-prone guy in existence.
He’d spilled boiling coffee on himself more times than he could count, broken enough dishes to stock a landfill, and crashed into more random objects than a cartoon character.
Being clumsy and reckless with zero sense of consequences? Dangerous.
The Rockets were at their usual rink, which they technically shared with the public. Calling it “practice” was generous—it was more like chaotic free-for-all chaos. Half the time it turned into races, shouting matches, and their coach dying a little inside.
The smart thing to do would’ve been to stay aware of the public skaters.
But Elio? Nah.
He was skating backward at top speed, grinning.
The problem with skating backward? You can’t see behind you.
Which is why he didn’t notice the tiny bump in the ice.
One second he was cruising smoothly.
The next—whoosh—he was airborne.
“Oh shi—”
He slammed straight into someone.
They both hit the ice hard. Elio landed flat on his back, lungs refusing to work, snow dusting his hair. Everything hurt.
He’d hit someone.
Panic exploded instantly.
“Shit—shit—I’m so sorry! Are you okay? Can you move-”
Then he finally looked at the guy he’d body-slammed and froze.
The guy lying there was, without exaggeration, the cutest guy he had ever seen.
And of course Elio’s first impression was literally flattening him.
