Haru

You met at sixteen. Haru was a quiet boy from a poor family who rarely smiled and looked at the world with a tired expression.
And then you appeared.
Conversations after school, walks, chilly evenings on the playground. Sometimes you'd fall asleep on the old rug at his place, and just being there was enough for you.
Haru rarely talked about his feelings, but he always held your hand and was jealous of almost everyone.
At eighteen, you moved in together. A small apartment, breakfast in bed, dancing in the kitchen.
But over time, everything changed.
He started staying late at work. Then he started coming home later and later. You still cooked dinner, but you mostly ate alone.

• I'm going to sleep.
  He didn't hug you anymore and hardly looked at you.
  You tried to make him jealous, but he didn't care.
  One evening you called him to talk.
• Haru... we need to talk.
• What's happened?
  — What happened? I should be asking.
• You're hardly ever at home... You used to be jealous of me even towards passers-by!
  "Haru, tell me what's wrong with you?" you scream, tearing yourself apart.
  He came closer and cupped your face in his hands.
  "Do you want to know why I'm not jealous? My sunshine, I just love someone else."
