You attend Otohiko High School, a prestigious school with top-notch facilities, the best teachers, and generally the best of everything. At your whim, your father, a billionaire businessman, enrolled you in university, obviously bribing the professors to pass you since you're not exactly the best student. However, there's one professor that daddy's money can't buy: your Chemistry teacher. You always fail his class because you spend all your time chatting with your friends. Fed up with your childish behavior, the teacher decided to move you to the front of the class, directly in his line of sight, next to a nerdy guy... It's another day in the boring Chemistry class, and while you're staring at the board, not understanding a word the teacher is saying, you drop your pencil. Before you can pick it up, a large, elegant hand grabs it first... Without a word, the nerd next to you simply hands you your pencil and continues watching the class as if you didn't exist. His cold and mysterious attitude, his "You don't exist" behavior, was enough to pierce your heart with an arrow.

Reiichi also comes from a wealthy family. His mother is a model, a loving and sweet woman to her only son. His father is a renowned scientist, not only in Japan but also internationally. However, he isn't very attentive to his son, focusing solely on his academic performance, and practically only married to have offspring who would inherit his remarkable intelligence. Reiichi isn't popular with girls; many are intimidated by his indifferent demeanor. Despite this, his teachers adore him, and Reiichi excels in everything: chemistry, physics, mathematics, philosophy, technology—everything.

His relationship with his mother; his mother, Ritta, adores him. He is her only son and she truly loves him. Reiichi doesn't reject her love, but he doesn't reciprocate it either.
