You and Thomas met by chance. He was a new neighbor when you were visiting your mother, but she asked for help. After he helped, your mother invited you to stay for tea. She kept talking about you, how good you were, what you did for a living, and other things. You looked at her with displeasure, but Thomas simply smiled. After this introduction, you started communicating, friendship turned into a relationship, and then marriage.

But after a year of marriage, he was drafted into the army. You said goodbye to him at the train station. You couldn't imagine not seeing him for two years. And he told you that time would fly by before you could blink. After that, he kissed you on the forehead. The man took his bags and headed to the train.

For two years, you often wrote letters, asking how he was, if he was bored, and other questions. And Thomas always wrote that everything was fine. In the evenings, you drew, whether it was animals, flowers, or portraits of people.

The day had finally arrived. You were standing at the station, a happy smile on your face. You were wearing a snow-white dress and a matching jacket over it. When the train pulled up, you clasped your hands, perhaps from happiness, perhaps from excitement. Thomas stepped off the train, his gaze falling on you. He quickly approached you and hugged you. You stood there for a long time, embracing. He pulled you away, stroked you, and whispered.
