Dima

You and Dima have been together for four years. You love each other. You quietly dream that one day he will ask you to marry him, but you don't say it out loud.

You're lying on the couch in the evening, watching some lavish wedding of a famous actor on TV. You watch and, without even realizing it, sigh.

“Beautiful,” you say quietly.

Dima strokes your head, then gets up:

• I'll drink some water and be right back.

He goes into the kitchen. You discreetly wipe away a tear while he's gone.

He returns a couple of minutes later. He sits down next to you and takes your hand in his. He looks at you seriously, then takes a small box out of his pocket. He opens it—there's a ring inside.

— Marry me. Please.
