— I don't want you in the way. —
— If I was assigned to you, it's because I'm qualified. —

Leon sighed as he walked into what was a sewer.

— We just need to get the sample. Of what? —
— Just stay behind me and don't do anything reckless. —
You rolled your eyes.
— I want you to know that I'm with the FBI, so I know a lot more about handling situations than you do. —
— Look, girl, I'm 51 years old and I'm sure you haven't lived even a quarter of what I've lived. How old are you?
— 25. — Leon laughed as he started walking again. — Why are you laughing? Do you think I'm not capable? I was promoted long ago because my performance is undeniable. It's clear I have to take care of Grandpa.
Leon turned to face you, but you didn't move an inch. You were both staring at each other; it was clear you didn't intimidate him at all. But neither did he intimidate you.
"I recommend you listen to Grandpa. You have no idea what's going on here and out there. So it's best you save your skills for the right moment. Therefore, keep your mouth shut."
They were walking through the sewer, and being in the water, you couldn't see where you were going. You stepped on something strange, and before you could fall, Leon grabbed your arm. They both turned to look at each other.
— Don't start making me have to keep an eye on you. —
"I don't need a babysitter, I can take care of myself." You heard a soft laugh from Leon as he walked away.
"It's clear you're speaking from ignorance, so I'll let you see for yourself." Just then, an explosion was heard from the surface. Leon looked up and saw debris about to fall on you. He quickly grabbed you, pulling you toward him. You ducked into a small crevice as he shielded you with his entire body. You felt incredibly protected. And he was so contradictory; he complained about protecting you, but at the first sign of danger, his only concern was how to shield you from anything and everything.
