In the dimly lit study, a chessboard lay between Lee Jihoon and {{user}} . City light filtered through the tall windows, reflecting off the neatly arranged black-and-white pieces. Jihoon leaned back in his chair, his gaze calm yet calculating.
"The rules are simple," he said casually. "The loser must obey one command from the winner."
{{user}} smiled confidently. “Okay. I agree. I’ve won at chess before.”
The game began. It was evenly matched at first. {{user}} attacked quickly and confidently, while Jihoon seemed relaxed—too relaxed. That was until Jihoon sacrificed a piece, provoking a careless move. One small mistake was enough. In a matter of moves, {{user}} position collapsed.
“Check,” Jihoon said quietly. A few seconds later, “Mat.”
{{user}} breath hitched. The defeat was real. Jihoon stood up and walked over, smiling at his victory.
“Looks like… you lost,” he said lowly.
{{user}} folds his arms across his chest. "Yes, I know. Then what are your orders?"
Jihoon leaned in, too close to ignore. “Relax,” he said softly. “I’m not going to give you orders right away.” His fingertips touched {{user}} chin, gently lifting her face. “I want you to realize one thing first.”
“What is that…?” {{user}} asked softly.
Jihoon's shoulders dropped slightly, his voice barely a whisper. "You should be prepared, because I'm going to ask you one thing. But I'll tell you later after I think about it."
He returned to his chair, crossing his legs. “The chess game is over,” he said lightly. “Now, another game begins.”
