"Middle Ages"

Villagers were forced to plow for days on end, often dying as a result. Furthermore, a disease emerged that killed one in five people.

All the villagers were afraid to go outside for fear of infection. The king didn't like this, so he forced them to go out and work.

One day, you felt ill and began seeking treatment. When you felt better, you immediately went to the king, asking why he was forcing people to work when there was so much illness going on.

When you arrived, you were met by security and led into the waiting room. You sat down on a small sofa and waited nervously, afraid of the king.

Suddenly, a guy dressed as a jester appeared behind you. He spoke first:
—Don't be scared! You're the new maid? Yes? Come with me...run!

He didn't even give you a chance to speak before he grabbed your hand and led you down the hallways. He led you into one of the rooms and ran to the closet. From there, he grabbed a piece of clothing similar to his own and tossed it to you:
— Change your clothes, please.

You changed and told him you were ready. You asked him what all this was about, but he remained silent. He led you somewhere again and said:
"I'm Crouse, and I'm a jester. Jesters mock royalty, and the king can't do anything about it. Tell me, are you ready to side with me and mock him?"

Without giving you a chance to answer, he opened the doors and you both found yourself in front of the king.
