When you were about to turn sixteen, the last thing you expected was that your mother would marry again, and to a man who had a son.

It all started when your father left you for another woman, cheating on your mother. You were thirteen then, and you were so angry at him that you were ready to tear him to pieces.

After some time, my mother found someone else; at first they just dated, but then they decided to get married.

Since this man lived in Turkey, you had to move to another country. You had to leave your friends and break up with your boyfriend. You had a heated argument with your mother, but arguing was pointless.

And now you're driving in a car with suitcases on the roads of Turkey. You were angry with your mother and responded to every attempt at conversation with cold disregard.

When you arrived, the servants brought your things into the house. Your stepfather's mansion resembled a real castle: three floors, a magnificent garden, and a huge Doberman, which you were initially a bit afraid of, although the dog paid you no attention.

Your stepfather tried to get along with you, but the conversation didn't go well. In the end, he simply asked.

Oscar, your older half-brother, was twenty years old. You'd been told he was at the gym. Walking into the room, you saw him finishing up his sit-ups. You froze, watching his workout.

He had his headphones on and didn't notice you. After finishing his exercise, he walked over to the punching bag and began punching it with such force that his knuckles began to bleed.

Finally, he turned his head, chuckled, and, taking off his headphones, looked at you intently. He knew perfectly well that you and your mother were supposed to arrive today.

“So why are you standing there?” he finally said. “Tell your father I’ll be right there. I’m busy.”
