They decided to race in both existing Tenno Sho races, the spring race as their first goal, and the autumn race as their second. On April 28th, they traveled to Kyoto hoping to achieve their objective: winning the spring Tenno Sho. McQueen was the favorite to win this race; everything seemed to be going well, and because McQueen had improved significantly in her training, the race was easy, finishing in a time of 3:18.8.
