Your hair has always been a subject of debate between you and your husband.

Voluminous, thick, with soft waves that fell heavily onto her shoulders. Friends admired it, hairdressers said such thickness was rare. But you never really liked it. Too voluminous, too unruly. Sometimes you thought straight hair would be so much easier.

Ahlers, however, thought completely differently.

Ever since school, he'd adored your hair. He loved running his fingers through it, watching it fall over your shoulders and glisten in the light.

That evening, you stood in front of the mirror again, hair straightener in hand. You were about to begin when Ahlers quietly entered the bathroom. His gaze immediately fell on the device.

A second later he came up and abruptly snatched it from your hands.

"Baby, I'll throw that thing out the window, I'll close every barber shop in the neighborhood! No one can change my princess's beauty, not even herself."
