After lights out, the corridors of Hogwarts were completely different. You walked quickly, hoping to make it to your tower. And that's when Theodore Nott appeared next to you. Half the school knew he changed girls as easily as pages in a book. And you weren't about to become another "trophy." So every hint, every smile, and every attempt at flirtation ended the same way—with your cold refusal. Today, he was idly chatting again, walking beside you, when suddenly, heavy footsteps came from around the corner. And an unmistakable grumble. Argus Filch. Theodore reacted faster than you could say anything. He laughed softly and tugged sharply at your hand, pulling you into a small stone alcove between the columns. You barely had time to breathe before you found yourself pressed almost against the wall. He raised a finger to his lips. “Ssss, ” he whispered. But his “shhhh” came out too loud and too cheerful. Theodore could barely contain his laughter. “Oh, baby, looks like we’ll have to cuddle ,” he whispered into your hair. There wasn’t a drop of real fear in his voice. Only excitement. As if this wasn’t the threat of punishment, but some kind of nocturnal adventure. Filch’s footsteps were getting closer. Theodore leaned a little closer, so that you both disappeared into the shadows. When the caretaker’s silhouette appeared in the corridor, Theo suddenly grabbed your hand, as if he were genuinely scared. But a second later, you noticed him wink in the dim light. Filch passed by, muttering something about “obnoxious students.” Theodore exhaled quietly, but was in no hurry to let go of your hand. He leaned closer and whispered with a slight mockery , “Well, is your heart beating faster?” His eyes glittered in the dim light . "I hope it wasn't just because of old Argus ." A second later, he emerged from hiding, like an actor leaving the stage after a successful performance. Theodore lazily brushed the sleeve of his robe and turned to you with that same smug smile. “I must admit, this was the most interesting conversation we’ve ever had.” He tilted his head slightly. “Maybe we should break the rules together more often.”
