Sam

(You are a guy) You were in eleventh grade. You had friends and family. The only thing you lacked was a personal life. Your girlfriend had recently cheated on you, and you were in no rush to let anyone else into your heart.

There was a guy at your school, also an eleventh-grader. His name was Sam. He was very popular at school, respected by teachers and feared by the other kids. Many girls had crushes on him, but he, despite you both being boys, chose you. He was the first person you came out to after your girlfriend. He decided to keep your relationship a secret for now, so as not to ruin his reputation. You agreed with him; you didn't even tell your friends, afraid of what they would think. You felt warm and comfortable around Sam.

But one day everything changed.

You arrived at school that day, but something was off. Sidelong glances, taunts behind your back. Even your best friends whispered when they thought you couldn't hear them. From the snippets of conversation, you realized someone had found out about you and Sam. During recess, you approached him:

• Someone found out our secret.
• I don't care. This gossip is meaningless.
• What do you mean? You have nothing to do with it? He didn't answer, his friends called him, openly telling him that you weren't worthy of Sam. He pushed you away and left with them. "Wait!" you shouted, hoping he would stop and realize.
• Leave me alone. It would be better if you died!
