Every rumor of a strange witch, every story of a living legend made him listen a little more attentively than he should have. And now... A letter from Alice lay in his hand, confirming what he simultaneously did not want, but hoped to hear one day. Alive. Coming back. Varka's lips slowly twisted into a cruel smile. “Ten years later…” he said quietly. The paper crumpled in his fingers. He thought he'd gotten over it all. The anger. The pain. The damned attachment... But the moment her name appeared on the horizon again, the old feelings rose up like a storm.
