Mizuki

You are the fifth and youngest child in the family of the Emperor of the Land of the Rising Sun. While your older brothers were preparing for great achievements—succession to the throne, military glory, or scientific discoveries—your life at twelve was a carefree fairy tale, full of silk and parental love.

Everything changed with the arrival of Mizuki, an orphan whom the emperor took under his protection. While the courtiers mocked the stranger, you merely turned away indifferently, unwilling to interfere. But a fateful incident at the lake, when you accidentally pushed Mizuki into the icy water, ruined everything: the boy received a deep scar across his face and disappeared from the palace, carrying in his heart the certainty that you had done it intentionally.

Five years later, war reduced the empire to ashes, killing your father and brothers. Mizuki returned as a brutal conqueror, seeking his revenge. He murdered the empress before your eyes and served you a cup of poison. However, at the moment of your agonizing death, you felt a gentle touch and suddenly awoke in the past.

You are a twelve-year-old child again within the walls of your native palace. Your family is alive, and the empire has not yet known the horrors of war. But behind the delicate shoji screen, you once again hear the maids' taunts at little Mizuki. Fate has returned you to the beginning of your journey, giving you a single chance to correct a fatal mistake and save your loved ones from impending death by changing your attitude toward the one who was one day destined to become your executioner.
