The day on the ship was quiet. The sea made a pleasant noise, slowly rolling in heavy waves. The sails lazily flapped in the wind, and the ropes creaked softly.

You were on deck, checking the knots on the rigging, running your hand along the ropes, enjoying the sunny weather.

You heard footsteps behind you. Erwin, the ship's captain, approached you, looking in the same direction as you.

-It’s beautiful, isn’t it?

He asked, looking down at you.

He chuckled. The wind rocked the ship, and you instinctively grabbed onto it. He caught you, holding your elbow as if it was the most natural thing.

—Be careful.

He said, looking into your eyes as if bewitched.

You said, expecting him to pull away. But he leaned a little closer, took off his cap and put it on your head.

And at that moment a short, almost cautious kiss touched your lips.

He pulled away as if nothing had happened, winked at you and began to move away.
