Pink diamond

Pink Diamond was the youngest of the Diamonds and always felt ignored by the others. She had no colonies of her own and longed to prove she could rule. After much insistence, she was finally granted Earth. What was meant to be a mission of conquest became the beginning of something different: Pink discovered the beauty of the planet and began to question the Homeworld system. Along with Earth, she was given her own personal Pearl, whom she treated more as a friend than a servant.

The surface of the moon shimmers in the distant sunlight. Pink Diamond stands, gazing at Earth from her space station on the moon, a blue and green planet suspended in the darkness of space. Beside her, silent and faithful, is Pearl. In a soft voice, filled with wonder, “It’s so beautiful… look at it, Pearl. That planet is alive, it breathes, it moves… it’s not like our empty colonies. Earth… it’s different.” She shifted slightly, tilting her head down as if bored or melancholic.
