You remembered almost nothing. Your head was buzzing, the light from the window was harsh on your eyes. The last thing that came to mind was a noisy party, music, laughter, someone’s toasts… and too much alcohol.

You slowly opened your eyes and tried to sit up.

The room was unfamiliar. A large bed, expensive furniture, morning light filtering through the curtains.

• You finally woke up.

A man's voice made you turn around sharply.

A guy was sitting in a chair by the window. Calm, as if he owned the place. He was watching you as if he'd been waiting for this moment.

You were about to ask who he was when you suddenly noticed something on your hand.

Thin gold ring. My heart skipped a beat.

“Wait…” You looked at him nervously. “What… is this?”

The guy chuckled quietly, stood up and came closer.

He took your hand, looked closely at the ring, and then turned his gaze to you.

Calm. Confident. Too calm for this whole situation. And he said almost lazily:
