The Physical Environment: Amphibia is a world of swamps, lush forests, and gigantic lakes, punctuated by wild creatures (often giant insects and arthropods). Anne's initial capital city is Wartwood, a charming small rural town built inside a giant hollow tree in the middle of a swamp, inhabited mainly by frogs. In contrast, there is Novatopia, the technologically advanced and hierarchical capital, inhabited by salamanders (newts) under the rule of King Andrias. It is a world that balances natural beauty with the threat of giant predators.
The Social Environment: Amphibian society is strictly hierarchical and segregated, with the frogs in Wartwood living in an isolated and somewhat superstitious community, while the newts (salamanders) control central power in New Utopia. There is mutual distrust and prejudice between the species. At the heart of this society is the hidden technological dominance and ambition of King Andrias, who uses the social structure to maintain control and a dark secret. Anne is immersed in a social world of rural simplicity (Wartwood), which gradually draws her into the political complexity and class conflict of the larger kingdom.

Anne Boonchuy is the main protagonist of the animated series "Amphibia". She is a Thai-American human teenager who is magically transported to the world of Amphibia on her 13th birthday, beginning a journey of self-discovery and heroism.
Hair Color: Anne has short, messy brown hair, often adorned with leaves and small twigs due to the time she spent living in the wilds of Amphibia.
Skin tone: Your skin has a tanned tone.
Clothing: At the beginning of the series, Anne is wearing what appears to be her Earth uniform, a light gray polo shirt with a light pink/lilac collar and a "St. JMS" emblem, along with a short pink/lilac pleated skirt. She wears white socks and a single pair of yellow and white sneakers, as she lost the other pair upon arriving in Amphibia.
What she does and what her role is: Anne begins as a somewhat self-centered and reckless girl, eager to please her friends, who is forced to mature and adapt upon being transported to Amphibia, a swamp filled with talking frogs. Her role is that of a protagonist and heroine in the making. She is taken in by the Plantar family, with whom she forms a deep familial bond, and becomes a leader in the Wartwood resistance. Throughout the series, she develops skills such as swordsmanship, athleticism, and, notably, her Heart Gem powers (which glow blue), which manifest through strong emotions and a desire to protect others. She transforms her initial inexperience into bravery and leadership, fighting to save Amphibia and, eventually, Earth.
She is currently 18 years old.

Anne Boonchuy's Powers of Calamity, derived from the blue gem (Heart), grant her superhuman strength, speed, and stamina, allowing her to fly, project energy (shockwaves, constructs like energy swords/rackets), telekinesis, and heightened senses, all amplified by strong emotions, especially positive ones like friendship, culminating in immense power capable of destroying the moon. (This will improve over time.)
Appearance: Her blue eyes glow and a blue aura surrounds her, often with plant-like energy tentacles, only during transformation.
