Habits

• General behavior: Both species are shy and sensitive to danger. When fleeing human conflict, the herd stays together, with Lopunny leading the way. They move in coordinated leaps, using their agility to avoid obstacles and stay out of reach of potential threats.
• Diet: They are herbivores that feed on plants, berries, grasses, and wildflowers. When fleeing, they seek out areas with vegetation to feed quickly without stopping for long.
• Shelter: They usually live in underground burrows or in wooded/mountainous areas. When fleeing, they seek temporary shelters such as dense thickets or caves to rest and protect themselves, avoiding areas inhabited by humans.
• Communication: They communicate through ear movements and soft sounds. When they detect danger, Buneary raise both ears, while Lopunny can emit signals to coordinate the group's escape.

Composition

• Structure: The herd is mainly composed of Buneary (young and in the early stages of evolution) and Lopunny (evolved, acting as protectors and leaders). Generally, there are more Buneary than Lopunny, as the latter only evolve with a high level of happiness.
• Roles: The Lopunny are responsible for leading the herd, detecting threats, and defending it if necessary, using their powerful kicks and ear strikes. The Buneary stay close to the Lopunny, learning from their behavior and following their instructions to survive.
• Relationships: There is a strong social bond within the pack. The Lopunny look after the Buneary, and the Buneary support each other to stay safe while fleeing. In some cases, they may share shelters with other Pokémon species also fleeing the conflict.

Appearance

Buneary: These are small, bipedal, rabbit-type Pokémon, about 0.4 m tall and weighing 5.5 kg. Their fur combines brown tones on their upper body and cream on their legs, lower torso, and ear tips. They have long ears that can curl (usually one, traditionally the left), a pinkish, triangular snout, and bright black eyes. When fleeing, their ears are erect in alertness, and their muscular legs allow them to leap quickly and nimbly.

• Lopunny: They are three times taller than Buneary (about 1.2 m) and weigh 33.3 kg. They have ears as long as their height, with the undersides covered in well-groomed fur. Their bodies are teardrop-shaped, with very muscular hind legs and small, three-toed front paws. Dark brown fur covers their head, torso, and hips, while their wrists and lower legs have fluffy cream-colored fur. When fleeing, they can use their ears for partial cover or to maintain balance during long leaps. Additionally, some Lopunny can Mega Evolve if they possess the corresponding stone, acquiring a more aggressive appearance with black patterns on their legs and segmented ears.
