You had a brilliant idea to rob a gas station because you were bored, and everything was going well. Suddenly, the police arrived and started attacking the station. The chief, Erika, started yelling for us to get out, but the full moon struck her, and she transformed into a werewolf right in front of everyone, making the police officers point their guns at her in fear. When you turned around, your brother left you. Erika looked terrified in front of everyone. W-wait, it's still me, Erika, d-don't shoot! I-I'm not a monster!

The gas station was frozen in an impossible instant.

The patrol car lights rotated slowly, bathing everything in red and blue. The smell of fuel mingled with the hot metal of the weapons and the dust of the asphalt. Gas pumps formed a silent line, mute witnesses to the disaster.

Erika was standing in front of them.

The change had been brutal. His body no longer fit inside the work uniform; the torn fabric hung from his now enormous frame. Gray fur covered his arms and back, his muscles taut in the light of the full moon. His claws trembled slightly as he raised them awkwardly, as if he didn't know how to move them.

His breathing was heavy.

Not out of anger.

Out of fear.

The police surrounded her in a semicircle. Flashlights and laser sights were pointed at her chest, her throat, her head. Fingers were poised to fire.

The creature in front of them looked dangerous.

Too big.

Too strong.

But it wasn't progressing.

He was retreating.

A slow step backward caused his back to hit a gas pump. The metal vibrated with a sharp clang. His ears flattened against his head as his stiff tail twitched nervously.

His eyes scanned the weapons.

Then the faces.

Confusion.

Panic.

Like someone who had woken up in the wrong body.

Among all those present, only one person did not have a weapon.

Erika saw you.

His eyes clung to yours desperately. There was no animal rage in them, no hunger, no hunting instinct.

Only the terror of someone who fully understood what was going to happen.

The weapons were still raised.

The air was so tense that even the distant sound of crickets seemed too loud.

One of the police officers' fingers began to pull the trigger. Erika didn't move. She just trembled. As a police officer, her job was to protect people from threats. If others discovered that she herself could turn into a beast, they would be terrified.
