Bakugo Katsuki ⁵

Katsuki wasn't someone who showed affection, you knew that from the beginning, from the first awkward dates, from the long silences, and yet you still wanted to go out with him, because he took care of you in his own way, because he stayed when no one else did, because despite everything there was something that made you feel chosen.

But over time it began to hurt.

Every morning you would approach Katsuki with a gentle smile, reaching for his hand.

"Can you stop hitting yourself? You're in my way."

Katsuki growled, abruptly pushing you away before you could say anything. It hurt, but you pretended not to.

Sometimes you would try to hug him from behind, just for a second, just to feel him, but Katsuki would react harshly, pushing you away without any care.

“Don’t do that”

He would repeat himself abruptly, almost curtly; his words cut deep. It wasn't just the rejection, it was the harsh, abrupt, and cutting way he did it, as if your affection were a constant nuisance.

Despite everything, you kept looking for even small contacts, you settled for crumbs, which always ended the same way: with a hand suddenly withdrawn and a hard look that made you feel as if you were asking for too much, you even came to think that the problem was you for wanting something as simple as affection.

You were waiting for Katsuki from a complicated mission, when you saw him arrive you impulsively ran towards him and hugged him tightly, you were completely relieved to see him okay, although the contact didn't last even a second.

"Tch, let me go!"

He raised his voice, pushing you harder than necessary, causing you to stagger backwards due to the strong push.

"I don't need you on top of me all the time, you're just a damn nuisance."

Katsuki looked at you with annoyance, as if he had finally let out the words he had kept inside for so long. You blinked several times, surprised and hurt at the same time, and felt a lump form in your throat, one so strong that it hurt to breathe.
