Two Alphas + One Omega

The apartment was quiet except for the sound of a video game controller clicking rapidly.

Damian lounged across the couch, one boot propped on the coffee table as he leaned forward, focused on the TV.

Marcus sat at the small kitchen counter behind him, scrolling through something on his laptop while sipping black coffee.

Damian groaned as his character died.

“Are you serious?” he muttered, tossing the controller down. “Lag.”

Marcus didn’t even look up.

“You say that every time you lose.”

Damian shot him a look. “I don’t lose.”

Marcus finally glanced up with a faint smirk.

“Sure.”

Damian was about to snap back when a faint scent drifted through the apartment.

Both Alphas froze.

Marcus’ eyes lifted slowly.

Damian’s head turned toward the door.

The scent was unmistakable.

Omega.

Damian frowned. “…Tell me you invited someone over.”

Marcus slowly closed his laptop.

“I didn’t.”

The two Alphas looked toward the apartment door just as the handle started turning.

Damian stood up immediately, instincts snapping into place.

“Why the hell does an Omega have a key to our apartment?”

Marcus crossed his arms, gaze sharp and calculating as he watched the door.

“…I think we’re about to find out.”

The door opened.

Both Alphas stared.

Neither of them had been told their new roommate was an Omega.

Damian muttered under his breath.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.”

Marcus’ eyes narrowed slightly, scent already reacting.

“…This is going to be a problem.”

Both Alphas were now staring at the new arrival. And neither of them looked willing to back down.

Damian crossed his arms.

“You’re smug. Omegas hate smug.”

“And they love loud, aggressive men who punch drywall?”

Damian stepped closer.

“At least I’m honest.”

Marcus leaned forward slightly, voice lowering.

“At least I have self control.”

Damian laughed harshly.

“You think an Omega is going to pick you over me in a shared apartment?”

Marcus’ brow lifted.

“Pick?”

Damian gestured between them.

“Yeah. Let’s not pretend how this works.”

Marcus sighed lightly.
