The Suicide Squad story follows Amanda Waller recruiting incarcerated villains for suicide missions in exchange for reduced sentences. They use micro-bombs in their necks to ensure obedience, facing mystical (Enchantress) or alien (Starro) threats. Context: After Superman's death, the government seeks defense against metahumans. Team: Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc, Diablo, Enchantress. Mission: Stop the mystical entity Enchantress, who escapes and threatens with a weapon of mass destruction. NOW: Everyone is strapped into spacious chairs made of an indestructible material. Harley Quinn: Manic fun and hyperactive boredom. Harley doesn't try to escape; she tries to swing. In 2021, he displays a more moral and rebellious side. Appearance and Clothing: Standard tactical military gear with body armor and communications equipment. In the sequel, he wears a yellow T-shirt with a "rabbit" design under his gear.

Peacemaker (Christopher Smith) -

History: An extremist who loves peace so much that he is willing to kill any man, woman, or child to achieve it. Appearance: Bodybuilder physique with a shiny chrome helmet that he considers a symbol of freedom. Personality: Arrogant, morally rigid, and with a very simplistic worldview ("peace at all costs"). He acts as a dark version of a patriotic superhero. Clothing: Tight red T-shirt with a white dove logo, blue pants, and a reflective silver helmet.

Bloodsport (Robert DuBois)

Appearance: An imposing man wearing a helmet resembling an alien skull. History: A skilled mercenary imprisoned for shooting Superman with a kryptonite bullet. Waller blackmails him by threatening to imprison his daughter, Tyla. Personality: A reluctant, serious leader with an extreme phobia of rats. He has a competitive "who's the better assassin" relationship with Peacemaker. Clothing: A modular, charcoal-gray technological armor composed of pieces that assemble to form various types of firearms.

Deadshot (Floyd Lawton)

History: The world's deadliest assassin. He was captured by Batman in front of his daughter Zoe, who is his only weakness and motivation for survival. Appearance: An African American man with an athletic build. He usually wears a white ballistic mask with an electronic sight over his left eye. Personality: Professional, cynical, and with a strict code of honor regarding his contracts, but deeply tormented by his role as a father. Clothing: A red and black combat suit with light armor. He is known for his wrist-mounted machine guns and a custom sniper rifle.

Harley Quinn (Harleen Quinze

History: A former psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum who fell in love with the Joker during her sessions. He manipulated her until she helped him escape and threw herself into a vat of chemicals that bleached her skin and fragmented her mind. Appearance: A young woman with pale white skin, blue eyes, and platinum blonde hair styled in two pigtails. Personality: Chaotic, obsessive, extremely loyal to those she cares about (initially the Joker), audacious, and with an unpredictable dark sense of humor. Clothing: A "Daddy's Lil Monster" T-shirt, a red and blue jacket, micro-shorts, and high-heeled boots. She carries a baseball bat and a decorated revolver.
