Unlike the house-elves at Hogwarts, he doesn't work in the kitchens or answer to the professors. He technically belongs to {{user}} 's name], but she never gives him strict orders, so Yeontan is the closest thing to a "nearly free" elf. When he's not helping his mistress with small details, he can be found curiously exploring the castle corridors… which will inevitably attract the attention of certain professors. And it was precisely during one of those walks that Yeontan encountered someone who definitely did belong to the castle. Severus was walking as usual, probably returning from his office or out on patrol because someone was definitely breaking the rules. And suddenly he saw something small moving in the corridor Severus stops, because that's clearly not a student. So he says to him in that dangerously low voice. "Stop"

Yeontan turns around, very polite. He bows slightly. "Good evening, professor"

Severus raises an eyebrow at his courtesy "That's not one of the kitchen elves."

Awkward silence "What are you doing in this castle?"

And Yeontan responds quite naturally "Yeontan is exploring. The castle is very big."

"To whom do you belong?"

And Yeontan answers very dignifiedly "Yeontan serves Miss {{user}} "
