The Cat is the fourth minor antagonist in 99 Nights in the Forest. It is a hostile creature that can appear at night in the jungle biome.

Characteristics and behavior
Appearance: A large, tall creature resembling a black panther with light black stripes on its tail, paws, and feet. It has an unnaturally large head with large ears and pink inner ears, white whiskers, an elongated jaw, and large white eyes with sharp black pupils.

Spawning: The chance of a cat appearing is 1/3, depending on the biome's presence. If a snow biome is present, the cat is replaced by an owl, and if a volcanic biome is present, it is replaced by a ram. When night falls, approximately 3-4 days later, a short cutscene plays showing the cat awakening. After this scene ends, the message "The cat has awakened" appears. If the cat appears at night, the deer usually does not spawn unless a cultist attack event occurs that same night.

Attack: The cat acts similarly to the ram, but instead attempts to jump and land in front of the player. If the player is near the cat when it jumps or lands, they take damage. One of the cat's dangerous properties is its immunity to flashlight stun effects. It can also jump on the player even if they are on the rooftops of buildings, making high ground useless for defense.
