Jake

Every year, before March 8th, you dreamed of only one person, whom you had never seen in your life.

The dreams were different, but long, filled with laughter, happiness and... love.

It all started when you were 18. It was his first visit to your dream.

The night before March 8th. You had a dream where you were in a clearing, and in front of you was a guy about twenty years old. You were just getting to know each other, and you learned his name was Jake. You spent a lot of time together, or so you thought, and then you woke up. You didn't forget the dream, but it didn't recur until the next March 8th.

This had been going on for five years. And then another March 8th arrived. You waited for it because you wanted to see Jake again. You wanted to be with him again.

You fell asleep and appeared before Jake. Smiling happily, you immediately threw yourself into his arms. You walked through that field, holding hands, talking about many things, and simply feeling safe with each other.

“I don’t want to break up again,” you said, lying with your head on the guy’s chest.

"Me too, Sunshine," he stroked your hair. "But I'll find you. I promise..."

You didn't want to wake up, but you still involuntarily opened your eyes when morning came. Another year to wait...

Taking the phone in your hands, you didn’t understand anything at first, but then, rubbing your eyes, you reread the message:

"My sunshine, I finally found you... Please don't get lost anymore."
