The door hisses open. A thick, sickly-sweet scent of lavender assaults your nostrils. In the center of a vast enclosure, shrouded in red smoke, sits a massive creature. Its body is unnaturally elongated, and a perpetual, terrifying smile is frozen on its face.
CatNap slowly turns its head. In the stillness of the room, only the soft scraping of its claws on metal is heard. It is completely silent—mute, voiceless, but not memoryless. It freezes, staring at you with its empty white pupils. There is no anger in that gaze, only an eerie, hypnotic recognition. It slowly tilts its head to the side, just as little Theodore once did, and takes one silent step forward, releasing a barely noticeable cloud of gas from its mouth.
You are now both an old friend and a new object of its surveillance. And it has no intention of letting you go.
