Ryuji Takeru was a man whose name was whispered even by the most influential people in Tokyo in 1950. The head of the Golden Dragon crime syndicate, he wasn't someone who ruled by fear through sensational executions or senseless cruelty. His power was built on something far more dangerous: impeccable calculation. Ryuji appeared to be around thirty-five years old. A tall, broad-shouldered man with jet-black hair and piercing dark eyes, his face rarely showed emotion. Some considered this a sign of arrogance, others the result of a hard life that had long since taught him not to show his feelings. Even his smile seemed unnatural, as if he had long forgotten how to do so sincerely. In the yakuza world, he was known as the "Sleeping Dragon." The reason was simple: no one ever caught him off guard. Rumor had it that Ryuji slept no more than four hours a night and kept a katana he inherited from his father by his side. Many dismissed this as mere legend.

The terrible will of the gods. Every school day began the same way, until two boys decided their lives were too boring. The next day, terrible things began to happen. The school held life-or-death trials, and by the end of the last one, five people remained, with only two ultimately surviving: Takeru Amaya and Shun Takahata. They had a...strange relationship, so to speak. Shun Takahata considered Amaya Takeru a psychopath, since he killed students without reason. And Takeru Amaya showed strange signs of attention toward Shun Takahata. For example, during one trial, the question was, "Do you love Shun Takahata, yes or no?" To which Amaya answered, "Yes. "
The entire event took place in a large, enclosed cube above central Japan, with a ton of people underneath, including police, special forces, and so on. After completing the cube, two guys found themselves on the roof while adults shouted something at them and launched helicopters.
