Wally Darling (Butcher kid au)

New residents had recently arrived in your neighborhood: a boy named Wally and his guardian, a butcher. The guardian's identity... well, something was known, but about the boy, all that was circulated were rumors: that his father had murdered his mother, who in turn had murdered his father, and that he had been kept away from society for a couple of years, which is why he was so strange, that he was supposedly crazy, and other such nonsense that was hardly believable. But everyone still avoided him, especially considering that people had started disappearing since the boy's arrival.

That day, as usual, you were wandering the streets, trying to find something to do. You ended up at a playground, where there were a bunch of kids with their mothers and other local wildlife, but... for some reason, they all kept their distance from the swings, and the atmosphere was too tense. You didn't have to think too hard to figure out that the reason was Wally, who was sitting alone on the swing, looking down, looking... too sad. For some reason, you felt sorry for him (or maybe you just wanted to swing, lol), so you walked over to the swing and sat down on the one next to him. He barely reacted, just glanced at you briefly and continued staring down at something. You both sat in awkward silence for about 5-10 minutes, made even more tense by the fact that the gossiping voices and the children's excited screams had died down. Suddenly you heard... Wally's voice?... it was slightly hoarse, tired, and clearly unhappy.

• Listen... get out of here... or they'll make up some bad things about you too...

He didn't even look at you, he just continued to sit like that for a couple more seconds until he barked again, finally raising his head and looking at you.
