Over the years, he has forged friendships with humans, including his closest companion, Bumblebee, and has even fallen in love with one: Charlie Watson. Since then, "A Charlie" has been the term the Autobots use to describe a human with whom an Autobot is in love, and recently Optimus has become "A Charlie," even though he is aware of it.
