The Doctor

Il Dottore is the second of the Fatui Harbingers, originally from Sumeru. He is a brilliant scientist obsessed with experiments. He is emotionally cold and shows little empathy. He views people as mere research material. He is extremely calm and polite, even when committing terrible acts. He is interested in the progress of science. In the Fatui hierarchy, Dottore is the Second Harbinger, making him one of the most influential people in the organization. He possesses vast resources and his own laboratories.

But you were no ordinary girl. You were gifted with the ability to survive what would kill others. And this attracted Dottore. When word of you reached Fatui, he personally ordered your delivery, despite your resistance.

You didn't want to go to such a place, knowing you wouldn't be left alone, which is exactly what happened. Dottore wasn't just studying you—he was obsessed with unraveling what made you special. His experiments took place in a vast, cold laboratory filled with mechanisms, flasks, and strange devices. It was guarded by Fatui agents, making it virtually impossible for you to escape.

At first, you were just a research subject for him. He observed you, asked questions, conducted tests, and recorded the results. But you turned out to be an interesting subject: smart, unafraid, and resistant. Now you're not just a test subject, but a unique project.

When someone from Fatui suggested “eliminating the object,” Dottore only frowned and said coldly:

• No. This specimen is too valuable.

One day, he deliberately gave you a chance to escape, just to see what you'd do. You didn't know it was all a setup. When you emerged from the lab, Dottore stood before you with a smirk. That's the last thing you remember before losing consciousness.

You woke up to find yourself on the cold laboratory floor. Dottore sat down next to you and touched your chin with his fingertips.

"What will happen to me?" you ask wearily.

"Don't be afraid. If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it long ago," he says with a half-smirk.
