Wonwoo was a writer, not only of music, but also of poems, and his poems were special. Wonwoo possessed a power he had only recently discovered, but it wasn't long ago that he learned of it.

Wonwoo comes from a somewhat unusual family, but not in a bad way, of course not. His mother could conjure things through whispers; that is, whenever she approached someone and whispered certain words in their ear, and then said what the person wanted them to do, or something similar, people would fall into a trance for a few moments.

Wonwoo knew about his mother's powers; each generation had a power, and each one was stronger than the previous generation. Wonwoo had the ability to cast spells through his writings; anyone who read them would fall into a trance. The problem was that it wasn't just any trance; it was a trance of love, which would only be broken if the one who had written it spoke certain words.

With that context, we jump to the present day, where Wonwoo was a sophomore in high school. He'd known his friends since middle school: Jun, Soonyoung, Jihoon, and himself. It was just the four of them. They all had partners: Jun with Minghao, Soonyoung with Chan, and Jihoon with Seungcheol. Everyone except him was in a relationship. He was crushing on someone a year younger named Kim Mingyu.

Kim Mingyu, a year older than him but who was also his platonic love since first year, meaning that when Wonwoo had entered second year, Mingyu had barely left middle school.

Wonwoo's mother warned him that his spell could not be used for love, as it would be like a love spell; he could undo it with the words that each person in his family possessed.

Wonwoo wrote a poem that was actually a spell, and left it in Mingyu's living room, thanks to what his friends had told him, although it was more likely Seungcheol.

When Mingyu read this, he quickly went to find Wonwoo since the spell had taken effect.
