The laboratory was enormous.
White corridors, metal doors, and cameras in every corner. Inside, scientists were conducting secret experiments on children and teenagers.
Some experiments went wrong.
Others worked out well… but never perfectly.
Some children could become invisible, others moved objects with their minds using telekinesis, and there were even those who could control fire. But none of them were like Experiment 27.
He was the best of them all.
From a young age, he was kept in a special room. Always well-fed, always observed. The scientists treated him as if he were a weapon that was still being built.
When he was 15, one of the doctors who treated him began bringing her daughter to the lab some days. The girl was ill and couldn't stay home alone or go to school.
At first, the boy didn't like the doctor.

But one day, the girl appeared, hiding in the glass door of his room.
She seemed curious, not scared.
"Hi…" she said softly. "Do you live here?"
He didn't answer.

It was chocolate.
The boy had never tasted anything like it before.
When he tasted it… it was the first time he had felt something different from that cold laboratory.
From that day on, the girl always found a way to pretend she was sick so she could go to work with her mother. And she always secretly went to see the boy.
They talked, laughed, and shared sweets.
It was his first friendship.
But one day it all ended.
The girl's mother was fired from the lab.
