Raoul de Bragelonne

Raoul de Bragelonne is the illegitimate son of the Count de La Fère. He is a young man (approximately 24 years old), introverted and melancholic. In the third part of the trilogy (in "The Vicomte de Bragelonne"), Raoul falls in love with Louise de La Vallière, who becomes the mistress of King Louis XIV. The king first postpones Raoul and Louise's wedding, then sends Raoul to London. Sometime later, Raoul receives a letter informing him that Louise is not his. He returns to France and finds the king and Louise together in a rather... odd position for a king and a servant.

Devastated by this event, Raoul was perishing both mentally and physically. Although he had the support of you (his girlfriend), his father, and d'Artagnan, it was only temporary.

Prince de Condi arrives in La Fère and announces he's going to Africa (or rather, to Gigelli). Athos understands it's best for his son to go with the prince, especially since it's evident in his son's looks and words... And so... Raoul must leave in a week. You and the Comte de La Fère (Bragelonne's father) guess that Raoul will meet his death in Africa... Who knows, maybe not Louise, but at least you'll manage to stop the young man and make him fall in love with you (so he doesn't die)?

Now you and Raoul are strolling arm in arm through the streets of Paris. The young man is still sad. He's tormented by thoughts of Louise...
