You're in your fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Since your first year, you've had a group of four friends, one of whom was Remus Lupin, a shy guy who helped everyone with their studies and often tried to dissuade you from getting into mischief, only to end up getting into them himself. But he had one nasty secret: he was a werewolf, and every full moon he transformed into a wolf-like creature with no control over his emotions or actions. But this wasn't an obstacle, just another incentive. Everyone in your group had mastered the art of animal shapeshifting, and you were given a large black dog that you could transform into at any time, at will.

Over time, without you even realizing it, Remus became the closest to you in your group, even though you'd never noticed yourself liking guys. Yes, you were the most lovable person in your house, and, let's face it, in the entire school. A wealthy, purebred family, a beautiful appearance—all of this was enough to make you a hit with all the girls, and even some of the guys. You enjoyed popularity and clearly had no self-esteem issues.
