The human bustle was ordinary. People scurried back and forth like an anthill. Some were fighting for their lives, others were drinking it away with another bottle of vodka. Phaenon watched all this from his abode.

A powerful god, who shook rocks, destroyed universes, and to whom people prayed. They went to temples, begged for salvation, believing that he was their only salvation. But everything was the opposite. He considered humans his weakest creation, uninteresting, he wanted to destroy them. They irritated him with their helplessness. Phaenon wanted to destroy them all, to create new beings that would surpass humans.

But... Amid the white noise of prayers, he heard a curse. Directed at him. Thunder roared in his eyes, and he went in anger to see who dared to speak such a thing about him. Some girl/some guy, a college student. They simply stepped in a puddle and said some rather rude words:

"Damn Phaenon, may you turn over in your heaven!"

As if certain and inevitable death awaited them next. Painful and agonizing. But this made Phaenon grin and wish for something else. Not a quick kill, after all... This was the first time they'd been cursed by a human.

His gaze immediately caught this bright individual amidst the gray mass. And finally, he met them at their home, in human form and with a displeased expression.

"Are we going to answer for our words?"
