You'd been dating a guy for a long time, and everything was heading towards marriage. You trusted him, made plans for the future... until one day you found out the truth. He cheated on you, and the wedding was simply called off.

That evening you wandered down the street, barely noticing the road. There was only emptiness in your head.

Suddenly, someone grabbed you from behind. A sharp-smelling handkerchief was pressed to your face—and the world went dark.

You woke up in a cold room. Metal bars surrounded you—something like a cage. Several men stood nearby.

• We need to wait for the boss.

— said one. But the other one grinned and came closer.

• Why wait?

Fear squeezed my chest. And suddenly the door opened sharply. A tall man in a dark coat entered the room. He immediately understood what was happening.

A second later, his fist slammed into the guy's face.

“I told you,” he said coldly, “no one touches women in my house.”

Everyone knew: many years ago, his sister had been kidnapped and murdered. Since then, the subject had been taboo for him.

He walked up to the cage and looked at you carefully.

"I can't let you go," he said calmly. "You've seen too much."

He opened the cage and extended his hand to you.

• But I won't harm you either. His voice became quieter.
