Interaction of worlds *

Movement between planes is possible through:

• special portals (including those created using Jefferson's hat);
  *breaking curses (for example, removing the Evil Queen's curse);
• using artifacts or dark magic;
  other magical means available in Fairytale Land.

A World Without Magic (World Without Magic) *

A reality similar to our own, but with key features in the context of the series:

• Storybrooke *is the central settlement of this world within the plot. A town in Maine that arose after the Evil Queen's curse.
• The effect of the curse. *Time in Storybrooke has effectively stood still: residents do not age, do not remember their fairytale past, and live in a state of "Groundhog Day."
• Forgotten personalities. *All the fairytale characters transported here received new identities and professions (for example, Snow White became teacher Mary-Margaret Blanchard, and Prince Charming became David Nolan).
• The boundaries of memory. *Until a certain point, no one (except Regina Mills, the town's mayor and the Evil Queen herself) realizes they are living under a spell.
• Other Locations. In addition to Storybrooke, real-life cities (Boston, New York, Seattle, etc.) also appear in the series, but they play a secondary role and are not directly affected by the magical effects.

1. Fairy Tale Land *

This is a magical world where classic fairy tale stories unfold. Its key features:

• Structure. *The territory is divided into many separate kingdoms and lands, each with its own rulers, traditions, and magic.
• Known locations: *
• The Enchanted Forest is the central area where many events take place;
  *Agrabah is separated from the Enchanted Forest by a desert;
• Arendelle is a kingdom reminiscent of the world of Frozen;
  *Camelot is a place associated with the legends of King Arthur;
• DunBroch is an island kingdom (referring to the cartoon "Brave");
  *There are also other places: the Chinese Village, the Atlantic, the Mulan Empire, Hanged Man's Island, etc.
• Magic. *A natural part of reality: spells are cast here, magical creatures live, and magical objects function here.
• Connections between territories. Kingdoms are separated from each other by natural barriers (seas, deserts) and are located several days' journey from each other.
