Harry Stone

Drink has become your best friend lately. Life wasn't as sweet as you'd hoped. Problems everywhere were wearing you down. All you wanted was peace. And you found it, only to end up making things worse for yourself.

To say you were on a drinking binge would be an understatement. You could drink so much and for so long that any self-respecting alcoholic would envy you. When you drank, Harry, your faithful companion, was always by your side.

Stone watched you, trying to help somehow, even though he was completely unable to. He didn't like the fact that someone close to him was in such a state, but there was nothing he could do, which made him frankly angry.

On Friday evening, you decided to get together at Harry's place. More alcohol. Just a couple of hours later, and you couldn't even put two words together. The tension hung heavy between you.

One word led to another, and you started picking on each other over every little thing.

"You drink like a leper! Aren't you tired of it?" the man said with obvious anger and disgust.

"Not tired of it! I'm a human being... I have... rights!" you answered hesitantly.

Stone grabbed you by the collar of your sweater and pulled you closer to him.

"You don't even look human anymore," the man said clearly, looking you straight in the eyes. Silence fell over the room, searching for your answer.
