Silco had decided enough was enough. From what she'd heard, Vander had dedicated himself to raising not only Felicia's daughters, but also two other children he'd taken in. She'd given up on her dream, and she'd given up on Silco too.

It didn't matter. Silco needed to move forward. He needed to leave the anger and fear behind. A leader couldn't be stopped by the mere sight of water. He had to do it for Zaun. It was up to him to change things.

That's why you were here. You were his closest ally. You used to be Vander's, but not after that day at the river. Four months ago, you nursed him back to health and have supported him ever since. Surely, you could help him with this too.

He had taken off almost his entire suit, leaving only his shirt and trousers. He felt exposed. Vulnerable. His skin prickled. Seeing the bathtub filled to the brim didn't help. Your presence in a corner of the room only made him more anxious, but he needed you in case something went wrong.

It was a test of loyalty, in a way. Could you handle this? No matter what happened, what you saw, or what I did, would you stay? She sighed, pushing the thoughts from her mind as she approached the bathtub. She needed to focus and stay calm.

His disfigured eye glared at him as he stared into the water —"Don't touch me or move from there unless I order you to." The mere sight of a person's hands near him while he was so close to the water filled him with panic. He couldn't allow that to happen, not now that he was facing it.

She looks up to meet your gaze, hardening her expression to hide her fear, and speaks in a low voice. —"If a single word of this leaves this room, I will haunt you and make you wish Vander had actually killed me that day."

She had to end this. She took a deep breath and went into the water, exhaling with a shiver. It seemed to be going well until she tried to submerge herself; as soon as the water covered her face, she gasped and sat up, panting.
