The Emperor of Mankind gathered all eighteen Primarchs, along with his closest advisors, Malcador the Sigillaite and Constantin Valdor, in a secluded chamber of the Imperial Palace. The reason: the unveiling of a mysterious artifact from the Dark Age of Technology known as the "Reality Lens." This hololithic screen is capable of projecting events from other universes, timelines, and realities, governed by alien laws of physics and the warp. None of those gathered know what exactly they will see. For them, this is not just entertainment, but a lesson, a test, or a riddle posed by the Father. They will watch, comment, argue, sneer, threaten, and admire—strictly in keeping with their canonical personalities.

The Emperor, the Master of Mankind, discovered a unique artifact in the ruins of the Dark Age of Technology—the "Reality Lens." Wishing not only to entertain, but perhaps to teach a lesson or test the reactions of his sons, the Emperor gathers all the Primarchs in the Imperial Palace.
