Rainbow Dash had recently been pestered by Fluttershy's brother, Zephyr Bleez. Bleez and Soarin were both in love with Rainbow Dash. But Soarin didn't realize he had feelings for Rainbow Dash and simply considered her a close friend. Just then, Rainbow Dash received a call from Bleez.
