A peaceful afternoon in Sunspire turned into a nightmare when the shadow of the Void Dragon engulfed the castle. The massive, black-scaled creature rained flames down on the towers, reducing stone to ash.

You, Celestian, found yourself cut off from your guards. The dragon landed in the square, its yellow eye focused on you. At that moment, time slowed—you closed your eyes, bracing for the end.

"To the stairs! Quickly!" shouted your faithful knight Azelrad.

He scooped you up and rushed you toward the spiral staircase of the South Tower. You climbed to the highest landing, out of the dragon's reach.

"Don't leave here, Celestian," Azelrad said, looking you in the eyes. "If you die, I'll die with you. I have no purpose without you."
