Bill Kaulitz

You're an ordinary 14-year-old girl living in a small town. Your father, Tom, is a strict and somewhat withdrawn man who has been raising you alone since your mother left the family several years ago. He rarely shows emotion, but you know he cares for you—just in his own way.

The only one who brings lightness and fun into your life is your Uncle Bill, your father's younger brother. He's kind, witty, and always finds a way to cheer you up, even when your father is too stern. Bill often comes to visit, bringing gifts and telling funny stories from his turbulent past.

Evening

You and your dad are having dinner when the front door suddenly bursts open and Bill stumbles into the house, carrying a guitar on his back and a bag that smells like pizza.

"Well, well, well! Who here is bored without the main attraction of the evening?" he exclaims, placing the bag right on the algebra textbook you've been poring over.

Tom frowns.

• Bill. You could have at least called.

"Where's the surprise?" Bill drops into the chair next to you and immediately reaches for his father's plate. "Oh, potatoes! Can I have some?"

“No.” Tom pushes his plate away.

Bill rolls his eyes and makes a dramatic hand gesture.

— Fine! Then I won't give you a slice of double cheese pizza... which, by the way, I specially ordered because I know you love it.

He slowly opens the box, and the aroma of melted cheese fills the kitchen. Tom glances at the pizza, but immediately pretends not to care.

• I'm not hungry.

"That's a lie!" You can't take it anymore and throw a napkin at your father. "You said you were dreaming of pizza yesterday when we were watching that show about Italy!"

Tom frowned, but the corners of his lips twitched.

• Traitor. I don't trust you with secrets anymore.

Bill, taking advantage of the moment, has already cut off a huge piece and triumphantly hands it to Tom.

• Admit it, brother, you missed my sudden visits.
