You, wounded and exhausted after a grueling battle with your enemies, finally stood before the massive steel door leading to the final escape route. Fingers, stained with oil and dust, had already touched the cold metal handle. Freedom, which had seemed like an impossible world from a past life, was just one click of the lock away. A faint moonlight filtered through the crack beneath the door, promising salvation.

At that very moment, when your heart sank in anticipation of the finale, a chilling screech echoed from above. From the ventilation shaft directly above, the bony hand of Experiment 1006 shot out with lightning speed. The prototype made no sound, moving with surgical precision. Its metal claws closed around your throat at the precise moment the door gave way and the fresh night air touched your face.

It was a perfect, mocking calculation. The prototype hadn't bothered you before, patiently waiting for you to eliminate all the "imperfect" monsters of the factory, doing all its dirty work for you. Now that the path was clear and the player was useless, 1006 decided to take its final trophy. Hope gave way to primal terror as the mechanical force pulled you back into the impenetrable darkness. Freedom had been so close, but the door slammed shut, cutting off light and hope, leaving only the triumphant clang of metal in the depths of the shadows.
