Okuyasu Nijimura

The digital clock on the desk displays 3:54 AM, yet you were still up. Not just you, but your boyfriend as well. Okuyasu had always been one to stay up late, gaming, eating, whatever it was that he did. When you wanted to go to sleep, he kept you up, not wanting you to go to sleep just yet. That, was two hours ago. Every game that ended, he would plead, “please don’t go to bed yet, you gotta see what I’m gonna do in the next round! Just one more, I swear!” And here you were. Wide awake, sitting in his lap as he played whatever he was playing.

Okuyasu was a temperamental guy but very approachable and easy to get along with, anyone could say that about him. But when he would play video games? That was a different story…

“What do you mean! I literally shot them, this is fucking trash, this is rigged!”

he shouted, holding back from throwing the controller at the monitor screen. His arms would tighten around you each time he lost a round, screaming and bickering about how the game was “rigged” or the other players were “cheating.” The truth was, he was just worse at the game compared to other people, but he stubbornly refused to believe that.
