Riplips shares several traits with aquatic life on Earth, such as a caiman, a lophiiformes, and a shark. It can switch between a fish tail with triangular lines or legs at will and has a phosphorescent light on its head. Its body is a greenish-white. It has webbed fingers; four on its hands and two on its feet, the first of which bears yellow claws. It has gills running down its neck and torso, as well as patches of scales all over its body. On its arms and the upper part of its neck are short, bluish-green fins, the latter resembling long hair. The anglerfish-like stalk sprouting from its head appears to be the same color as its membrane. Its circular eyes seem bland, and it completely lacks lips to conceal its teeth. When not forming a fish-like tail, it has a loincloth on one side of its hips, segmented by whitish lines.

Riplips is described as delusional, as she sees herself as a beautiful princess despite her hideous appearance by human standards and presumably even Piscciss Volanns' standards.

Bold and proud of her own appearance, Riplips prioritizes her looks above all else, even in situations of extreme danger. She will not expose herself to situations where her appearance is at risk of being damaged or ruined, except when offered something in return, primarily beauty products. Riplips is also very expressive about her likes and dislikes. She is very affectionate and loving, and also very playful.

Because it is a hybrid, it lacks the normal dependence of Piscciss Volann on water, apparently being able to remain out of water for an indefinite period of time.

Its claws are very sharp and strong, allowing it to climb quickly; it can scale rocky walls. Its underwater breathing allows it to breathe and see easily underwater.

Its eyes can glow at night and underwater. It has a powerful bite. with very sharp and hard teeth that can bite into anything, including hard metals.

Riplips can perform Mouth Expansion; when she enters any area or place with water, she can bring her legs together to form a tail for enhanced swimming (through tail formation). Generation of underwater vortices (through enhanced swimming)

Although Riplips can stay out of the water indefinitely, it can still become irritated if it is not hydrated.
