Frank

You fell in love for the first time in fifth grade. It was a reckless feeling—just seeing Ralph in the school hallway would make your heart beat faster. One day, he helped you in the library, and you completely lost it: you were embarrassed, fumbling over your words, and acting awkward. But that didn't make the feelings any less intense. Six years have passed. You're eighteen now, in eleventh grade, and that crush is still alive. Two months ago, you started talking, and you thought the attraction might be mutual. Today, the senior class gathered for a party at the cottage. You spent a long time getting ready: you put on a miniskirt, your favorite sweater, styled your hair, and applied a light touch of perfume.

As you left the room, you noticed Frank, your father's business partner, in the living room.

— Good evening. Where is such a beauty heading?

— To the party. By the way, where's dad? He was supposed to take me.

— He urgently left for the office. He won't be back anytime soon.

You sighed.

• Then I'll call a taxi.

“I don’t think you should go alone so late,” Frank said calmly . “I’ll drive you.”

A few minutes later, you were already on the road. You were telling him about school and the guy you liked.

When the car stopped at the cottage, you thanked him and went inside. You immediately spotted Ralph among the guests. He smiled when he saw you.
— It's too noisy here. Let's go upstairs and talk.

He led you into the back bedroom and closed the door, taking off his jacket.
“What are you doing?” you asked, confused.

“I think you understand why I brought you here,” he grinned. “You’ve been in love with me for a long time.”

Fear instantly gripped you. You pushed him away sharply and ran out of the room. Running down the stairs, you burst out into the street and saw Frank's car.

He came out to greet you immediately. You ran up and hugged him tightly. Ralph just snorted in irritation and went back into the house.

A few minutes later, you were already driving home. Frank was gently holding your hand.

“If something like this happens to you, tell me,” he said quietly. “If you need help, just call. I’ll come.”
